Frances Thurman

Funeral Services for Mrs. Frances Thurman, 87, of Cedar Park, formerly of Marble Falls, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at First Baptist Church of Marble Falls with Rev. Max Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at Marble Falls City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Frances Elizabeth Augusta Wagenfuhr Thurman was born Jan. 8, 1925 in Burnet County to Herman and Toni Reimers Wagenfuhr. Frances was a bookkeeper in the wholesale business,
great bridge player, seamstress, and crocheted.
She is preceded in death by son Kenneth Thurman, brother Herman Wagenfuhr, and her parents. Frances is survived by her husband of 69 years, Merrell Thurman, daughter Mary Ellen Denson and husband Robert of Bertram, son Damon Thurman and wife Sandra of Leander, son Gary Thurman and wife Becky of Leander, brother Ray Wagenfuhr and wife Jane of Austin; grandchildren Marissa Hollis, Krista Powell and husband Chris, Nathan and Jason Thurman, Tracey Burdett and husband Steve, and six great-grandchildren. Honoring Frances in their service are pallbearers Nathan Thurman, Jason Thurman, Avery Hollis, Steve Burdett, Chris Powell & Phillip Wagenfuhr.
